4lbs Down

Although I still have a long way to go I am happy that in just over a week and a half I have already lost 4lbs. This may not be a huge loss in this time frame but I think that this is pretty good when I am trying to do this in a healthy way and without doing a large amount of exercise.

I have been concentrating on making sure that I am eating more vegetables and fruit as well as not snacking. This seems to be working well for me but I have a feeling that this is mainly because although my meals are relatively healthy I have a habit of snacking quite a lot. Particularly at this time of year when it is cold, dark and miserable outside. The weekends are more difficult as this is the time that I usually treat myself to a few tasty snacks but I am trying my best to stick to this even then.

I am determined to get healthy this year by losing enough weight to get into a health BMI range and getting more active. I think that this a good start, I just need to make sure that I keep the motivation up now.
